Private Female Fertility Test Glasgow

How do ABC4D fertility tests work?

Fertility tests are detailed gynaecological examinations.

They work by assessing various different elements – specifically, your pelvic organs, ovulation tracking, follicle development, and endometrial thickness.

The assessment only works optimally if you have a full bladder, so please arrive at our clinic as such.

We may recommend that you get a transvaginal scan during the same appointment to get an improved view. This can only be done in the second half of your cycle.

Any abnormalities that arise in our results will be discussed with you and we will refer you to your General Practioner.

How our fertility test is done –

  • When you visit our Glasgow clinic for your appointment, our team stringently follows the most up-to-date Scottish Government COVID-19 guidelines. This ensures the safety of you and our staff.
  • The shape and size of your uterus, cervix, ovaries and fallopian tubes will all be examined. This includes the thickness of the lining of your uterus.
  • Our clinician checks for common conditions like ovarian cysts, polycystic ovaries, fibroids, polyps, endometriosis, and pelvic inflammatory disease.

What do our fertility tests tell you?

  • The checks we carry out for the common issues above can tell you about the development of follicles leading to ovulation in natural cycles or for women who are taking fertility medication.
  • The fertility scan also tells you the condition of the lining of the womb (endometrium) prior to natural or assisted conception.
  • Additionally, it can look at the pelvic organs in specific cases of infertility or recurrent miscarriage.
